Ports are very important players in a country's economy, but they are also often regarded as a nuisance by the citizens of those countries: they are seen to produce noise, pollution and traffic jams, and are not always popular. Flanders Port Area is a federation of the most important Flemish ports (Antwerp, Zeebrugge, Ostend and Ghent), and has been a client of GERMAINE since beginning of 2008.
